We have a large showroom in High Wycombe which includes free parking. Our workshop is located above the showroom. This provides us with absolute control of every aspect of the manufacturing and production process for each bespoke sofa and piece of furniture.
Tailormade sofas offer a comprehensive range of quality furnishing fabrics, from a selection of fabric suppliers. We have accounts with a large number of well-known fabric houses, as well as those who only supply to the Trade.
In our early years the business was run by John Hawkins and concentrated on manufacturing small nursing chairs. John developed the product range further to incorporate sofas and chairs sold in the classic three piece suite format. In the 1960’s son Brian Hawkins took over the running of the factory. The business grew into a mass production factory supplying three piece suites to High Street names. These included Courts, Kingsway and many independent furniture shops throughout the country.
In 1990 the Managing Director Michael Hawkins decided to change direction. To provide our customers with the option of having unique made to measure tailored sofas & bespoke furniture designed to their own specifications.
